WEEELABEX Certification Van Pelt
News
At Van Pelt, we process and recycle large quantities of electronic waste every day. When professionally dismantling and processing electronics, companies in Europe are required to be certified to the standards of WEEELABEX.

WEEELABEX stands for Waste of Electric and Electronic Equipment Label of Excellence. By meeting this quality standard, we demonstrate that we handle electronics waste in a trusted and environmentally responsible manner. The guidelines to be followed contribute to an optimal treatment process, with the goal of recovering as many raw materials as possible from electronics waste in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
Recycling electronics responsibly has several facets. Consider, for example, the safe removal and disposal of batteries and accumulators to prevent fire. The responsible handling of data is also very important. Many old electronic devices (working or not) often still contain data. Curious how we do this? Take a look at our page about data destruction.

To recover even more resources, we recently launched our Urban Mining division. This industry with a social character offers people with a distance to the labor market a work rhythm. They are engaged in disassembling electronics, such as computers and servers. Through this manual disassembly, we recover maximum raw material quantities from the old electronic devices.
With its process, Van Pelt Recycling meets all the necessary characteristics for responsible recycling. So you can be confident that the electronics waste we dispose of for you will be processed in a fully sustainable, environmentally responsible and safe manner.
