Data destruction
Confidential material 100% securely destroyed
In our modern lives, storing data has become a staple. Phones, laptops, PCs and tablets often have very large numbers of files stored on them. When the device is replaced, it is important to ensure that the sensitive data does not end up in the wrong hands. Secure data destruction is essential. Even if you work in the cloud, data often remains on your device or hard drive. Van Pelt Recycling can safely destroy this type of data for you and recycle your device.

What is data destruction?
Using a shredder, devices containing data are completely destroyed and rendered unusable. This ensures that your data is securely destroyed, according to AVG and WEEELABEX requirements, and prevents parts of data from being left behind for unwanted use.
Certified data destruction
When your IT hardware is destroyed by Van Pelt Recycling, you naturally want to be 100% sure that your business and/or personal data are also completely erased in a safe manner. You are also obliged to do this within the framework of the AVG. Van Pelt Recycling ensures that you can easily meet this obligation. We recycle e-waste according to WEEELABEX certification. WEEELABEX sets high requirements for the processing process, the recycling result and the registration. When we destroy your hardware, such as hard drives, it works as follows:
- Your old appliances, which contain data, are handed in to us. You can bring them to us yourself, but we can also collect the devices from you.
- Your devices are shredded, leaving nothing of data behind.
- After destruction of your data, you will receive proof of this, through photos of the process. After completion of the process you will receive a data destruction certificate. If necessary, you can present this certificate during an AVG audit.
- Leftover material is recycled by us in a sustainable manner.
Costs and revenues
We incur costs for hard drive destruction. However; the remaining shredded material often represents a positive value because they are valuable raw materials. We offset the cost of shredding with this.
